After a comfortable transfer of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, you’ll arrive in the heart of Bilbao for a complete guided city tour.
Our tour begins in the historic and modern center, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Guggenheim Museum, a global symbol of contemporary architecture, and the famous Seven Streets, where Basque tradition comes alive among bars, shops, and historic buildings. During the tour, our guide will share curiosities and anecdotes that will make you fall in love with the city.
You’ll also have the chance to see the San Mamés Stadium, known as the “Cathedral of Football,” one of Bilbao’s most important symbols. We’ll stroll through vibrant areas such as Gran Vía, the Arriaga Theater, and the Zubizuri Bridge, designed by Santiago Calatrava.
After the tour, enjoy free time to explore at your own pace and, if you wish, visit the Guggenheim Museum on your own. As part of the experience, a tasting of Basque pintxos is included, a gastronomic tradition that is part of Bilbao’s soul.
Finally, we’ll return to the port of Santander so you can continue your journey with the memory of an unforgettable day in Bilbao, full of art, culture, and flavor.
At the time indicated in your reservation, we will meet at the specified meeting point. Our staff will be easily identifiable by their white clothing with the ShoreSpirit Tours logo. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure an on-time departure.
Once the group is gathered, we will all travel together to Bilbao on a route lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes. During this journey, we will enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Cantabrian coast, explained by our accompanying guide.
Enjoy a private and personalized tour of Bilbao, where an official local guide will take you to discover the most important and iconic places in the city, such as the Seven Streets and the exterior of the Guggenheim Museum. To make these guided tours more efficient, groups will be limited to 20–25 people.
Enjoy some free time in the city of Bilbao where you can go shopping, visit the famous Guggenheim Museum on your own, or simply wander through its old town. In addition, we offer you an appetizer of Basque pintxos that you can enjoy whenever you like at a venue we will indicate.
Next, we will head back to Santander Port, where our transport will drop us off and we will say goodbye after an exciting day.
Each excursion will have a different schedule depending on the ship’s arrival and departure times at the port. You will be informed of your excursion’s schedule when your booking is confirmed.
To confirm an excursion, a minimum number of seats must be booked. Once this minimum is reached, you will receive a notification confirming your excursion along with a link to make the payment.
If, due to a change in the ship’s itinerary or external reasons (such as political or weather-related issues), a confirmed excursion cannot be carried out, we will first try to find an alternative. If that is not possible, the full amount will be refunded to the passenger.
If there aren’t enough people to create a group in your language, by default all excursions will be conducted in English. All our guides are bilingual in English and Spanish. Additionally, for ships originating from Germany (mainly from AIDA and TUI cruise lines), all excursions will be conducted in German unless otherwise indicated by the team when confirming the tour.

Although our team will do everything possible to assist you, we are not allowed to provide support to people with reduced mobility. We recommend contacting us before booking this tour to explain your situation and look for a solution.
This tour is of easy to medium difficulty. We only recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes to explore the city.
