Discover the true essence of Asturias with this exclusive experience for cruise passengers.
We will depart from Gijón, where our team will welcome you before starting the transfer to Oviedo, crossing lush green landscapes and mountains while learning fascinating facts about the region.
In Oviedo, you will enjoy a guided tour with a local expert, lasting 1.5 to 2 hours, exploring the most iconic spots and uncovering the history of this unique city. Groups will be small (maximum 20-25 people) and the tour will be conducted in the selected language, provided the minimum number of participants is met.
You will also have the chance to taste the famous Asturian cider, unique in the world, and enjoy a small traditional snack to savor local gastronomy.
On the way back, we will stop at the Laboral University, the largest building in Spain, and finish with a panoramic tour of Gijón, passing by landmarks such as San Lorenzo Beach, Isabel la Católica Park, and other highlights.
We will end in the city center of Gijón, where you can take a final stroll or return comfortably to the ship.

At the time indicated in your booking, we will meet at the specified meeting point. Our staff will be easily identifiable by their white clothing with the ShoreSpirit Tours logo. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure timely departure. Once we have all met, we will travel to the city of Oviedo on a journey of about 30 minutes through the valleys and mountains of Asturias. During this time, our tour guide will inform you about the most important aspects of the Asturias region and the city of Oviedo.
Enjoy a private and personalized tour of Oviedo, where an official local guide will take you to discover the most important and iconic places in the city. To make these guided visits more efficient, groups will be limited to 20–25 people.
Enjoy some free time in Oviedo to shop or simply stroll through its wonderful pedestrian streets. In addition, we offer you a tasting of traditional Asturian flavors, which you can enjoy whenever you like at a designated local venue.
Next, we will return to Gijón, where after about 30 minutes by bus, we will make a short stop of around 20 minutes at the Laboral University, the largest building in Spain. Here you will enjoy free time to explore and take photos.
To end this wonderful day, we will travel and admire from our bus the most iconic spots of Gijón, such as Isabel la Católica Park or San Lorenzo Beach with its impressive promenade, while listening to the explanations of our accompanying guide
Our bus will drop us off in a central area of the city where, depending on the time, you can take a walk around Gijón or return to the ship using the shuttles.
Each excursion will have a different schedule depending on the ship’s arrival and departure times at the port. You will be informed of your excursion’s schedule when your booking is confirmed.
To confirm an excursion, a minimum number of seats must be booked. Once this minimum is reached, you will receive a notification confirming your excursion along with a link to make the payment.
If, due to a change in the ship’s itinerary or external reasons (such as political or weather-related issues), a confirmed excursion cannot be carried out, we will first try to find an alternative. If that is not possible, the full amount will be refunded to the passenger.
If there aren’t enough people to create a group in your language, by default all excursions will be conducted in English. All our guides are bilingual in English and Spanish. Additionally, for ships originating from Germany (mainly from AIDA and TUI cruise lines), all excursions will be conducted in German unless otherwise indicated by the team when confirming the tour.
We will provide you with a phone number so you can contact us at any time. However, before the tour begins, you will receive a message with all the information, including the location where you can find us.
Although our team will do everything possible to assist you, we are not allowed to provide support to people with reduced mobility. We recommend contacting us before booking this tour to explain your situation and look for a solution.
This tour is of easy to medium difficulty. We only recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes to explore the city.
